- Our client, a large cold storage provider with a vast network of offices across Australia, is looking for a critical member to join their team. We are in search of a strong, data-oriented leader. _
- Your role involves supervising the day-to-day operations of the cold storage facility, ensuring its efficient, cost-effective operation, maintenance, and improvement of all services offered by the asset. _
- The commitment is not only to deliver quality products but to do so in a manner that aligns seamlessly with the operational efficiency and convenience priorities of their valued clients. _

**_Key Responsibilities: _**
- _Manage the supervision of repairs and preventative maintenance schedule/program for equipment within a temperature-controlled food storage facility. _
- _Perform necessary minor repairs and maintenance tasks within the facility as needed. _
- _Conduct the induction, coordination, and supervision of contractors engaged in specialist repairs and maintenance at the facility. _
- _Support the site management team by facilitating capital works/major projects. _
- _Create and execute strategies to enhance site safety and establish optimal practices by implementing standard operating procedures. _
- _Fulfill and deliver hazard and incident reporting forms to the OH&S team within specified deadlines and communicate any instances of lost time injuries. _
- _Organise and carry out safety audits, aid in investigating incidents to identify root causes, and support the implementation of corrective measures as required. _
- _Maintain records and disseminate pertinent safety communications such as monthly safety packs and company-issued safety alerts. _
- _Coordinate and execute risk assessments while implementing necessary risk mitigation measures. _
- _Guarantee the enforcement and adherence to standard contract management processes. _
- _Work closely and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. _
- _Provide leadership and mentorship to the team. _
- _Monitor and identify sales trends and analysis of sales forecasts with a focus on increasing profitability. _
- _Contribute to the business financial performance through labour management, profitable sales, inventory management, and expenses. _

**_To be successful in this role, you will have: _**
- _General knowledge across facilities, maintenance, and trades (refrigeration would be advantageous). _
- _Demonstrated leadership strength. _
- _Strong ability to collaborate cross-functional. _
- _Strong verbal and written communication skills. _
- _Excellent planning, organisational, and time management. _
- _Proficiency in navigating complex challenges and making decisive choices amidst pressure, supported by a steadfast work ethic. _
- _Proficiency in ensuring that staff comprehensively grasp and adhere to the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). _
- _Advanced knowledge of HACCP, OH&S regulations, and cold storage principles. _
- _Strong computer literacy. _
- _strong experience in using hazard and incident reporting systems. _
- _Qualification in a relevant industry trade of 3+ years would be an advantage. _
