Financial Service Officer

- **Hourly pay rate up to **$48.75 **+ Super.**:

- **Working onsite, all 5 days from the Canberra Office.**

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
You will provide and deliver finance services and administration that support the activities of Colleges and Divisions. You will be tasked with accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and other administrative activities being key functions of the team.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Provide administrative support in accounts, purchasing, and office services including:

- Purchasing and procurement, including preparation of purchase requests, obtaining quotes, and making purchases via corporate credit cards.
- Preparing journals, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions for processing through Shared Services.
- Processing and actioning travel requests and acquittals.
- Maintenance of appropriate records, documentation, and filing systems.
- Following up on discrepancies as required.
- Prepare correspondence and liaise with clients, creditors, and staff.
- Providing general administrative support.
- Communication of procedural and policy requirements to staff; Monitoring procedural compliance and following up on debt or accounts.
- Perform relevant work with computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Undertake research and special tasks.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to students, internal and external stakeholders.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Sound knowledge and experience in financial and procurement policies and procedures.
- Experience in general administrative procedures, particularly purchasing and finance procedures.
- Sound organisational skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritise tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Sound computing skills, including word processing/document production, spreadsheet and database creation and utilisation, and computerised information management systems including computerised Financial Management Systems (e.g., Oracle).
