**Your role**:
As the Employee Relations Advisor you will support the employee and industrial relations functions, services and priorities for the department.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide sound advice to managers and clients on employee and industrial issues including interpretation of legislation, industrial instruments, policies, systems and practices.
- Contribute to the ongoing coordination and promotion of high quality employee and industrial relations services and solutions in a large and complex organisation.
- Undertake research and analysis of employee and industrial relations matters.
- Participate in consultation and negotiations with key stakeholders, departmental work units, professional associations and other public sector agencies.
- Contribute to departmental advocacy services in tribunals including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
- Assist in developing and implementing new and revised processes, policies and procedures relevant to employee and industrial relations.
- Contribute to the delivery of project outcomes with a specific focus on employee and industrial relations.
- Draft correspondence, briefing notes and advice on employee and industrial relations matters.
- Maintain effective networks and liaise with clients, officers from other agencies, unions and other external bodies to assist in promoting and monitoring contemporary employee and industrial relations issues.
