What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Affairs Specialist to join our National Marketing division in permanent full-time role.

The National Marketing Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all national marketing, brand, internal & external communications, digital, public relations and guest relationship management in order to position Toyota as the guests’ brand of choice throughout and beyond the entire product lifecycle and contribute to achievement of sales volume, market share and profitability objectives.

The Public Affairs Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the execution of product PR strategies through development of PR material and organisation of PR events in order to optimise public awareness of Toyota vehicles and contribute to the achievement of sales volume, market share and profitability objectives for Toyota products in Australia.

This role is based in Port Melbourne with flexible work arrangements on offer.

How you’ll make an impact- Implement agreed product PR processes and procedures consistent with set policies to achieve Toyota sales and guest attraction objectives.- Assist in the development of product PR processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and impact of PR campaigns and activities.- Provide day-to-day support in the preparation and distribution of product information, press kits and press releases; facilitate sign off for photographs and technical information to provide media and other stakeholders with relevant and accurate product and critical issues information to increase product and Toyota brand desirability.- Support all aspects of product launch events. Monitor timelines, approvals, and budgets, and recommend countermeasures where required to ensure successful events with respect to vehicle and product information availability, stakeholder involvement and return on investment.- Act as the key contact for press fleet vehicles and enquiries. Order press vehicles and support the shipping schedule to ensure timely and quality delivery of vehicles and new products for PR purposes.- Maintain budgeting and reporting systems to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.

Your attributes - If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you- Degree qualification in business and marketing, a related discipline or equivalent experience.- Experience in PR or marketing roles.- Experience in project and events coordination.- Understanding of automotive products and Australian automotive market.
