**About the role**
Joining OA's Technical division and supporting the Stage Manager, this role will actively support the smooth operation of the rehearsal process and through the tour's performance season.

The Assistant Stage Manager will be required to undertake travel beyond Sydney and the successful applicant must be available to work between
**19 June - 4 September 2023**.

**Key areas of focus**
- Assisting with the bump-in and bump-out of all Stage Management, Orchestral equipment and Property elements of the Production in rehearsals and the theatres
- Assisting with the management of the rehearsal, performance, and production including the creations & modification of relevant show plots; identifying department specific information from the 'show bible', purchasing consumables, maintaining props and sets
- Supporting the Childrens Chorus coordinator with rehearsals
- Actively communicating with the team to achieve safe outcomes at all times

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Stage Management role or similar
- Proven experience supporting Stage Management in a theatre environment; ideally in a regional or national tour
- Proven ability to understand and adapt the logistics of the production to each local stage
- Clear leadership skill; confident working within the wider team and independent work
- Have an understanding of WHS practices
