**About Training Services NSW**
Training Services NSW (TSNSW) leads and manages the implementation of funded vocational education and training programs and services across the NSW training market including contracting and funding providers, quality assurance, leading reforms and administering apprenticeships and traineeships and Aboriginal programs.

The Branch also has a major role in industry and community relations and in supporting the business operations and systems, including forecasting, budget management, accounting and reporting activities for the large VET budget.

The Branch has frontline staff in 9 Regional Centres who manage relationships with providers and employers and implement and administer funded vocational education and training programs and services across the State.

**About the role**
The role assists with the management of the apprenticeship and traineeship system in NSW, including: Assisting with the review, development and implementation of apprenticeship and traineeship policy, procedures, systems and programs in accordance with the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001 and Government policies/priorities.

Providing support for field staff providing information and advisory services to stakeholders. Researching issues and preparing information and advice to support the work of the Branch.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Have the ability to handle competing priorities within predetermined timescales and to the necessary level
- Be extremely organised and have great communication skills
- Be confident in giving quality guidance to students, providers, employers, and other stakeholders, as well as handling delicate and frequently difficult enquiries and concerns.
