**Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in a APS6 Project Officer - CLAIMS & PAYMENTS IMPLEMENTATION for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD.**

**About the Team**

The Claims and Payments Branch is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of transformation initiatives to increase payments and claims quality, efficiency, controls, correctness and outcomes in support of the NDIS Corporate Plan.

The team is responsible for reviewing and evaluating current claims and payments processes and controls and determining and implementing improvement. It is also responsible for ensuring claims and payments processes are optimally included in the base platform build of new CRM Software, future enhancements are included on the backlog and that the implementation of the new platform is implemented in a planned, controlled and consultative manner.

**About the Role**

**The APS6 Claims and Payments Improvement Project Officer** is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

**The APS6 Claims and Payments Improvement Project Officer** is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".

**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Working independently to review and evaluate policies, processes and controls to develop complex reports, strategies and plans to meet business requirements.
- Developing and maintaining high-quality training materials, including e-learning and facilitated courses.
- Communicating to key stakeholders with timely advice for status updates and issues affecting projects.
- Providing input and advice in the form of correspondence and briefs to stakeholders in relation to agency policies, procedures, systems and documentation to ensure requirements are met.
- Supporting the development of project management methodologies and processes.
- Developing accessible and relevant metrics, reporting and performance indicators including services and projects, variations and the impact on the change agenda.
- Identifying and contributing to system and process improvements, focusing on delivering high quality and timely resolution of payment enquiries.
- Working to reduce instances of non-compliance and undertaking process remediation across the branch.

- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
- Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
