**Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in multiple APS5/APS6/EL1/EL2 Costing officers. Section 26 transfers are preferred but non-ongoing will be considered (6-12 months) in PORT ADELAIDE SA.**

**About the Role**
Responsible for conducting all cost estimating activities for ASA in accordance with the Department of Finance Estimates Memorandum 2017/55.
Defence Finance Group will remain the technical authority on cost estimation for the Defence Integrated Investment Program projects.
- Operate and update the ASA Cost model (potentially joint and / or tri-lateral models, if required) as the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Program develops.
- Support the divisions and branches in costing their planned activities in accordance with the Defence Costing Policy and Department of Finance Estimates Memorandum 2017/55.
- Provide strategic advice and contestability on the planned activities, cost and schedule estimates provided by the ASA Divisions and Branches.
- Provide reliable, reasonable and timely cost estimate input into ASA Government submissions, eg Cabinet Submissions.
- Liaise with Internal (i.e. DFG, Contestability) and External (DoF, PM&C, PBO) stakeholders in relation to ASA submissions and supporting cost estimates.
- Assure and manage project programming adjustments at each budget update
- Extract, compile and assure relevant program cost estimates and financial information from the cost models and corporate financial systems in preparation for Senate Estimates Briefs.
- Promote better costing practices that align with Defence Cost Estimate Standards across ASA divisions and branches through consultations.
- Provide Cost Recovery Policy.
