About the role
Join our team as a Debt Recovery Specialist and take charge in minimizing the value of bad debt across our Australian and New Zealand ledgers. Your expertise will be crucial in effectively managing debt collection processes, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining positive relationships with clients while ensuring optimal financial outcomes for CSR.

**In this role you will**:

- Initiate collection action for the recovery of delinquent debts $10m to $15m approx. 150 accounts
- Manage as much as possible of the collection process in-house.
- Agree payment plans with customers & monitor adherence to the arrangement.
- Agree with the BU Credit Manager any action that will incur costs over 40% of the debt or any individual expense over $1k.
- Prepare bad & doubtful debt reports and recommendations.

**What you bring to the role**:

- 2 years' experience in a similar debt recovery position.
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Confidence in making phone calls and engaging with debtors.
- Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Time management, organisational & multitasking skills.
- Professional, positive, and ethical attitude
