We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing overdue accounts, negotiating recovery plans, and liaising with customers to bring their accounts up to date. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a knack for relationship management, problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The Role:
  • Collaborate with sales, accounting, and external agents to manage debt collection efforts.
  • Negotiate repayment arrangements and handle overdue accounts with empathy and professionalism.
  • Liaise with liquidators and administrators to provide documentation and track liquidation accounts.
  • Manage the accounts receivable mailbox and promptly address client queries.
  • Analyze accounts, prepare statements, and ensure all data entry is accurate and up to date.
  • Initiate legal proceedings when necessary and adhere to financial and privacy laws.
  • Support the AR team with reporting, compliance, invoicing, and reconciliations.
What You Bring:
  • Experience: At least 1 year in accounts receivable, debt collection, or a similar role, preferably in a high volume commercial environment.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent phone manner and dispute resolution skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Attributes:
    • Empathy and understanding when dealing with customer circumstances.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
