**Head of Design Ops**:
Design is woven into all of R/GA's offerings, from consulting to marketing innovation, to digital product and service creation. The department operates as a horizontal across the R/GA global network, affording clients and partners scale and flexibility in tapping into diverse talent. The department is broadly focused on designing and delivering solutions that enable rich consumer experiences, from flagship mobile and web apps to advanced immersive and physical experiences, to marketing and commerce platforms.

**The Role**

R/GA Australia are looking for an experienced and proactive, Interaction & Design Operations expert to join the team and help push the current design offering to the next level of excellence.

Here's what you should know if you want to be Design Ops at R/GA:
**Your focus on this project**:

- **Design process** - Review, Standardise workflows and processes that considers the whole delivery
- **Design Patterns - **Review, implement and standardise patterns across design and technology systems
- **Design System Architecture -** Review, identify, configure and maintain our design oriented project tools.
- **Prioritisation**:

- Work with the team to understand requirements and prioritise.
- **Design culture** - Evangelise a connected design process with the broader team
- **Growing design to tech velocity**:

- Improving the quality and impact of design outputs to technical delivery.

**The Ideal Person**:

- Understands product design and infrastructure concepts
- High attention to detail and deeply experienced in documentation
- Is well versed in multiple design areas, such as Desktop, Mobile, eCommerce, CMS and Social.
- Is well versed in multiple design/prototyping tools such as figma, sketch, invision, whimsical, zeplin and others.
- Is business-oriented and strategic; understands how features and dependencies impact overall business goals and add value to users
- Has strong oral and written communication skills, and can convey information in a clear and concise manner
- Is well versed in design process and collaborating with technologists/QA
- Ability to handle multiple, complex projects in a deadline-driven environment under pressure.
- Is outspoken and highly collaborative, acting as an active participant in shaping the culture and ways of working for cross-functional teams

**What you must have**:

- Experience in creation of a DesignOps > DevOps holistic process.
- Experience configuration and management of versioned design systems that are integrated into the DevOps pipeline.
- Previous experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-scale digital products and platforms
- Experience with Agile design, development and project management methodologies and tools
- Experience working closely with developers.
- Experience building, running design processes that benefits the whole team and involves them in the design process, not necessarily just the designers.
- Full experience of running end to end design system
- Efficient design process that generates high-quality, fidelity, digital design outputs.
- Expert level experience implementing responsive and adaptive web solutions.
- Expert level experience design with modern front-end frameworks such as React
- Expert level experience setting up and managing design workflows.
- Excellent knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0), good SEO and performance criteria.
- Experience with Federal Government related work.

**What you may additionally have**:

- Hold a current security clearance
- Experience working with remote teams (city to city / country to country).
- Experience working with headless CMS solutions such as HyGraph.
- Knowledge of conversational interfaces & technologies such as VoiceFlow, DialogFlow or equivalent solutions.

**You bring**:

- 8+ years' experience in a design lead position.

- English speaking and excellent communication skills.
