Payroll Manager required for industry leading and expanding organisation in Melbourne's north. Leadership position with strategic input.

**The Company**

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation who are expanding rapidly. Employee numbers currently sit at 1200 but the business continues to grow and revenues are expected to climb from $160m to $300m in the next 12 months. The company are based towards Melbourne's north but offer hybrid working where 2 days per week can be worked from home. This is a leadership position in the payroll team which forms part of the senior management group. There is a bonus structure in place in addition to a generous base salary.

**The Role**

This is a fully permanent position which manages and controls operations for the payroll function. This role forms part of the senior leadership group and is strategic in nature. You will manage 2 direct reports.

Reporting directly to the CFO, typical day to day duties will involve:

- Leading, coordinating and managing an effective end to end payroll function ensuring compliance with awards, agreements and legislation.
- Providing leadership and management to a small team of payroll officers while providing an efficient, responsive, accurate and professional service to the organisation and its employees.
- Overseeing the end-to-end payroll processing for over 1,000 staff across multiple entities and industrial instruments
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency and establish best practice.
- Ensure that payroll systems are up-to-date, robust, and secure, while also identifying opportunities to simplify and improve.
- Providing strategic leadership and direction, delegating effectively to team members and supporting senior leadership with forecasting, analysis, systems changes and commercial development

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in Payroll with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- End to end payroll experience and experience as a payroll leader
- Exposure to working in a complex payroll environment
- Ability to suggest and drive improvements to processes, systems and procedures
- Comfortable reaching Melbourne's northern suburbs
- Ambitious and happy in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with a large scale payroll system (Chris 21, ADP, SAP etc)
- Comfortable working in a busy and fast paced environment
