**The Opportunity**:
Urbis is looking for a Heritage Consultant to join our team in Melbourne. In this role you will work alongside experienced consultants to demonstrate an understanding of heritage principles as you contribute to our day-to-day operations and independent tasks.
This role will have a focus on research and report writing for heritage and conservation studies, making attention to detail and strong written communication skills essential for success. If you're enthusiastic about heritage and city shaping, this role is for you
**You will**:
- Conduct thorough property research, interpretation and report writing.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, and submissions for various projects.
- Assist with project management and client relationships.
- Help prepare heritage studies, plans, impact statements, and more.
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects, meeting specifications, deadlines, and budgets.
**About You**:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player who values collaboration.
- An ability to research, problem solve and think laterally.
- Appreciation and interest in Australian history.
- A sound understanding of heritage principles and legislation.
- Tertiary qualifications in a heritage-related discipline or have relevant experience in the heritage industry.
