- Provide advice on the conservation of flora and fauna, particularly those protected at state, national, and international levels.
- Develop and implement habitat management and restoration projects.
- Monitor and manage the impact of rail infrastructure on local ecosystems.

- Provide onsite support to significant asset management works to maintain compliance with environmental and heritage legislation and internal procedures.
- Attend site inspections, pre-start meetings, and staff/contractor inductions to verify there is an appropriate level of understanding of environmental controls (legislation, procedures, CEMPs).
- Undertake site inspections during works to ensure compliance with environmental controls.
There will be some evenings, weekends, overnight stays, and overtime, with reimbursements for all travel-related meals and accommodation.
A valid Victoria Driver Licence is essential, and a tool of trade vehicle will be provided.
The ability to undertake solo journeys and operate a 4WD vehicle will be an advantage. Accredited 4WD driver training can be provided.
About You

- Familiarity with State (Vic) & Commonwealth environment & heritage legislation.
- Familiarity with, or specialisation in, Victorian flora & fauna.
You are a capable and decisive professional with a collaborative and consultative approach, able to travel to sites and work autonomously. You can:
