You will lead and drive the strategic direction and vision of Council's waste and resource recovery function. Including the Dunmore waste and resource recovery centre, commercial sand mine and the domestic waste management services.

**The Role**:
As part of Council's Senior Leadership Team, you will deliver Council's Waste Management Strategy and lead the waste and sustainable materials strategy which includes the City's domestic waste, resource recovery facility and commercial sand mine to meet current and future needs of the City to reduce the relance on current landfill arrangements.

With the ability to control the financial, commercial, operational and environmental performance outcomes to ensure they are conducted in a business-like manner and provide high levels of value for money service delivery.

The role will also oversee policy, compliance and budget items across the group.

**The Person**:
Degree qualified, you will ideally have experience in operations and service delivery in waste activities or civil works and demonstrate a proven record of success. With high level communication skills you will form strong relationships including a team of professional and operational staff, Customers and the Community.

Experience in the design, implementation, management, delivery and review of complex projects will be highly regarded.

Excellence in leadership and people management will be pivotal to continue to foster a progressive and vibrant culture.
