**Job description**:
We are currently seeking a number of highly organised and motivated
**EL1 Team Leaders **to assist with the
**COVID-19 Aged Care Support Program Extension Grant.**

**The team**
The Emergency Preparedness and Response Branch manages the implementation of measures to support the aged care sector during emergencies, including the current COVID‑19 pandemic. The branch is a dynamic, fast paced environment delivering important policy, communications and programs to support the aged care sector. The team support aged care providers to address the challenges of COVID-19 and other emergencies, to ensure the continued delivery of safe and quality aged care services for older Australians. The COVID-19 Aged Care Support Program Grant Section Administers key COVID-19 aged care grant opportunities, providing critical financial support to the aged care sector.

As an
**EL1 Team Leaders** you will be responsible for:

- Conducting assessments and determining eligibility for payments
- Analysing evidence to assess grant recipient claims
- Preparing detailed assessment workings, findings, and recommendations for delegate approval
- Ensuring that assessment outcomes meet grant requirements, are consistent with procedures and guidelines, are equitable and of a quality that meets enables the delegate to make a funding decision
- Stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders
- Records management
- Staff leadership and mentoring

**Ideally, you will possess the following skills and experience**:

- Grant assessment experience within Government environment
- Demonstrated analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills
- Sound judgement, ability to think strategically, identify issues and escalate potential risks
- Experience utilising the whole of government grant system known as GPS
- Leadership experience within Grants environment
- Understanding of payroll reports (desired)
- Ability to Work from Home with a proper IT home set up

You will need experience working in a similiar environment. You will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail. You will also need to be an
**Australian Citizen** with a current police check. A baseline security clearance is highly desirable.

These roles will commence from 1st July with interviews to commence immediately. Assignments are through to
**June 2024** with view to extension. These positions are full-time business hours, offering $75 per hour + super.
