**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our** **BlueScope Building Solutions business in Hamilton, Newcastle as an Accounts Payable Officer. BlueScope Building Solutions is a part of BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

Working within the commercial team of our two market facing businesses, Ranbuild and Kiteleys, you will be a key contributor of superior service to our internal and external customers. In this varied role, you will support the business with accounts payable processing and leadership, banking, reporting and administrative support. We've got a highly supportive team, with the opportunity to be developed and mentored.

**What Will You Do?**

As an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a busy workplace, you'll be:

- accurately processing invoices and payments to suppliers to meet specified timeframes
- reconciling supplier statements
- establishing and maintaining supplier accounts in our accounting system
- actively contributing to process improvements
- providing support to the wider team with a variety of administrative tasks such as vehicle fleet management

**More About You**

Having strong knowledge and understanding of supplier processes and payment terms, your ability to think on your feet will result in achieving customer success. You’ll have:

- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- confidence in the use of the MS Excel and the ability and enthusiasm to learn new systems
- sound understanding of accounting principles
- a service-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- a growth mindset of continuous learning and improvement for yourself and the team
