**Your new role**

You should possess strong planning and problem solving skills, be process driven, demonstrate initiative, be able to motivate a small team to deliver high quality service and have the ability to partner with internal and external service providers to achieve quick and positive outcomes.

**In this role, you will (but are not limited to)**:

- Manage day-to-day business operations of assigned areas.
- Liaise with University service functions to facilitate administrative activities.
- Developing and refining internal processes integrating continuous improvement.
- Coordinate specific projects as assigned.
- Support GM, Faculty Deans, and Directors with preparation of briefing papers, reports, etc.
- Provide executive support to Faculty committees and working parties.
- Manage operational budgets and reporting.
- Facilitate Faculty-wide communications
- Provide leadership and management of staff in the administrative pool.
- Coordinate efficient use of staffing resources.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with senior staff within the Faculty’s schools and centres.

**Selection Criteria**
- Completion of a degree with considerable relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in an administrative field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Demonstrated staff management skills with the ability to conduct effective work planning and performance review discussions and to foster a work environment of high achievement, continuous improvement, and job satisfaction.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively consult with a wide range of stakeholders on a range of matters and in a professional and confident manner.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to offer solutions to complex problems.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial and budget management.
- Demonstrated high-level written communication skills with the ability to prepare high quality reports, briefing papers, and correspondence

**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous experience in within the higher education sector.
