TAG Recruitment has been exclusively engaged to recruit a newly created Finance Lead for another one of our valued clients. For almost 20 years our client has been a leader in the Australian advertising industry focusing their expertise on urban beautification. By adopting a partnership approach, they are able to enhance their clients' brand reputation and foster positive connections between people and their clients' projects.

As the Senior Finance Lead, you will report to the Finance and Business Operations Manager and be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial requirements of the business. You will work closely with the Finance Officer to ensure effective financial controls are in place and contribute to the growth of the organization.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Supervising daily accounting activities such as accounts payable and receivable
- Guiding finance projects like handling progress claims and managing retentions
- Managing weekly payment files, including suppliers, payroll, and super payments
- Maintaining credit control and procurement processes within the business
- Aiding in end-of-month closing procedures such as report summaries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
- Supporting cash flow forecasting and management in accordance with company policies and objectives
- Assisting the Business Operations Manager in ensuring precise financial operations
- Monitoring and implementing data integrity solutions for accounting and ERP packages
- Identifying process performance problems and proposing solutions
- Overseeing and mentoring the Finance Officer
- Supporting the Finance and Business Operations Manager in statutory lodgements, annual budgets, and strategic initiatives
- Completing various administrative and reporting duties on an as-needed basis

**The right fit will have**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a comparable position (required).
- Able to work autonomously and independently.
- Knowledge of MYOB Account Right or MYOB Advanced (preferred).
- Keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Advanced excel and Microsoft suite competencies.
- Relevant tertiary education (preferred, not required).
- Experience in Construction Payment Claim & Retention Management (preferred, not required).
