About the role

The Precinct Operations Lead is responsible for the year-round development and planning and the implementation and management of all venue related services for the AO including Security & Access, Cleaning & Waste, PTTM, Venue and Event Operations and Vehicle Access & Parking.

In this role you will:

- In collaboration with Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP), implement practical processes in the implementation of planning Project Groups, striving for continual improvement
- Work with stakeholders to develop the workforce requirements (schedules/rosters) for each of the relevant workforces for the event
- Coordinate the planning & delivery of crowd management tools and infrastructure, including but not limited to, capacity counters, tensa barriers, tensa signage, pass outs and virtual queues
- Monitor and coordinate Melbourne Park venue access requests on behalf of TA departments
- Work with M&OP on the year-round technology strategy for Car Park Operations and ensure AO requirements are maintained
- Assist with the capture and circulation of Precinct Activity, via the AO Daily Schedule and AO Daily Updates
- Perform ‘On-Ground Manager’ role during event period

About you

What you’ll bring to the role:

- 2 years’ minimum experience in event/venue management/sporting or events (favourable)
- Operational mindset, a strong results and delivery focus, with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in a face paced and time pressured environment
- Good communication skills to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to work autonomously, solve problems and meet deadlines
- Ability to work within set budget parameters
- Ability to work in a team environment
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
