**The Company**:
This not-for-profit organisation is responsible for training, assessment and professional development. They are looking for a Manager, Events and Conferences to join their team on a contract basis to cover maternity leave.
**The Role**:
The primary purpose of the role is to lead and manage the planning, coordination and delivery of all events, meetings, and sponsorship across all of the jurisdictions the institute operates within to support institute initiatives outlined in the Strategic and Business plan.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Manage and lead direct reports
- Development and production of events
- In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, lead the planning, development, delivery, and promotion, of a broad range of educational and networking events across a range of channels to optimise engagement
- Maintenance and implementation of the events strategy, ensuring the alignment of events, meetings and campaigns, content, programs, and processes
- Development of strategies to increase member engagement and enhance the institute's brand at events
- Manage the delivery of the institute's events across the year, including but not limited to, the institute's annual major conference
- Delivery of event management services including:
- Webinars and online events
- Administrative support to local organising committees;
- Contract management and negotiation with external suppliers, including oversight of venue and PCO contracts, venues, accommodation and audiovisual providers;
- Institute committee liaison and internal collaboration with other employees (coordination of attendance, accommodation etc);
- Tender for various services required to deliver each event.
- High-level organisational skills with demonstrated experience in financial and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, adapt and respond effectively and professionally under pressure.
- Proven experience leading, managing, motivating and developing a team.
- High level of experience with EventsAir.
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple events concurrently, work under pressure to meet timelines and to work autonomously and/or as part of a team where necessary.
- Well-developed verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders in the production and delivery of services.
- Proven high-level written analytic and financial skills with good attention to detail.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and consult with all stakeholders to achieve timely outcomes.
