The Role

We seek an experienced professional to provide exceptional leadership across learning and teaching, academic governance and accreditation, learning design and technology and curriculum management within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences.

Reporting to the Head of Educational Services and working with the Education and Employability leaders, this role oversees the successful development and delivery of Faculty strategies and support for curriculum management and innovation, academic governance, accreditation activities across a broad range of health courses and high-quality business and data analysis.

About You

You will have a deep understanding of the higher education sector, especially in the education and learning and teaching areas, and the related structures of academic governance, learning design and technology and/or accreditation functions that underpin these. Your proven ability to lead the development of collaborative partnerships, develop key internal and external stakeholder relationships and ability to manage, coach and build a high-performing and service-oriented team will ensure your success in this role.

To Apply

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience- Postgraduate or tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience and proven management expertise.- Demonstrated experience providing leadership in complex and diverse environments, ideally within the higher education environment.- Knowledge of regulatory and governance requirements for higher education (such as TEQSA Act, ESOS Act, Higher Education Standards) and/or external accreditation standards.- Knowledge and understanding of learning and teaching pedagogy, learning design concepts and technology.- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic and operational plans to meet strategic goals.- Experience in leading the preparation, review and implementation of policy, governance frameworks and/or accreditation standards and requirements.- Proven ability to manage high performing teams and encourage a collaborative, service-focused and cooperative work environment.- Highly developed conceptual, analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.- Experience in developing and writing complex reports, proposals and briefing papers within a higher education setting.- Experience in analysing, reporting and presenting detailed data (preferably using the MS suite).- Experience in leading and implementing projects through to completion within the higher education setting.- Experience in building and managing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and academic staff.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders.
