- **Categories**: Finance, Project ManagementWe are currently recruiting a Head of Capex Governance, part of our Group Financial Control team, who are responsible for partnering end-to-end with the Executive Office on strategy and execution, analysis and advice on key projects and initiatives.

This is a pivotal role to engage and influence senior executives including the Group Council, Foxtel Group CEO as well as other key stakeholders to successfully assess and govern CAPEX expenditure and controls.

This role will have a significant impact on decisioning and financial outcomes, therefore it is critical the Head of Capex Governance can work effectively in a matrix structure and be the central point of contact for all CAPEX project matters for key stakeholders.

**Reporting to the Director of Financial Control, your responsibilities will be**:

- Project Evaluation and Prioritisation
- Risk assessment - systematic assessment of the risks associated with capital expenditure projects
- Facilitate in depth financial analysis of proposed capital expenditures
- Governance and Compliance - ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements related to capital expenditures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: engage key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, finance teams, and project managers, in the capital expenditure decision making process
- Continuous improvement: Continuously improve the capital expenditure management process through feedback, evaluation, and learning

**Skills and Experiences We’re Looking For**
- Prior experience in a similar role involving financial analysis, investment appraisal, budgeting, or Project Management within a finance function (Matrix/ hierarchical environment highly desirable)
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of capital budgeting, financial analysis, and investment evaluation
- Strategic mindset to align capital investments with the organisation’s long-term goals and financial objectives.
- The ability to evaluate investment opportunities, assess risks, and develop investment strategies is critical
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business administration)
