We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychosocial Recovery Coach (Counsellor) to join our transdisciplinary team on a permanent role based in Sydney, NSW.

**About the Role**

The Psychosocial Recovery Coach will play a fundamental part in providing assistance and guidance to individuals with disabilities, supporting their psychosocial recovery journey. The role will work closely with FCG Participants, helping them to identify their goals, develop personalised recovery plans, and access appropriate support services. The Psychosocial Recovery Coach develops recovery-enabling relationships with participants, coaching them in recovery planning and coordination of supports. From facilitating one-on-one support at their residences to managing administrative tasks remotely, this role is instrumental in participant’s progress.

Other duties are flexible and varied as they are based on the needs of the individual participant and the business environment.

In this role, you will be working within a transdisciplinary team and will be responsible for:

- Facilitate NDIS service navigation, intake and support coordination for clients living with complex mental health conditions.
- Coordinate all day-to-day aspects of NDIS service navigation, quoting, intake and support coordination for clients with mental health conditions.
- Engage with clients to undertake plan coordination services, informing clients of services and service providers available within their approved funding.
- Working with participants to manage and adapt to the complex challenges of mental health.
- Using a personal recovery approach embedded within a choice and control framework to engage with participants about their psychosocial support services.
- Conduct plan management activities, including regularly monitoring and reviewing service provider invoices.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to individuals in their psychosocial recovery journey.
- Collaborate with clients to identify their strengths, goals, and aspirations.
- Develop personalised recovery plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and skills to manage daily challenges.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with community resources and organisations.
- Develop and maintain an effective timetable/ schedule which enables the delivery of behaviour support and related services that meet organisationally defined billable hour targets
- Complete all required documentation, reporting, and record keeping in a timely and efficient manner
- Document all assessments and reviews in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure documentation is appropriately filed and participants/ parents/carers receive copies in line with organisational procedure.
- Adhere to operational guidelines for service delivery as outlined in FCG’s policy and procedure documents.
- Participate in regular team meetings, ongoing clinical supervision and professional development activities as required.
- Represent or attend relevant external meetings, including interagency networks, and community forums where appropriate
- Maintain a current knowledge of research and trends, through continued membership of relevant bodies and via other internal and external opportunities
- Employ current best practice and research-based principles into work performance.
- Participate in a performance development & review process
- Other duties as directed

**About you**
- To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling with active professional membership of Australian Counselling Association
- Proven track record in Counselling/ Psychosocial recovery coaching within the NDIS space.
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to manage own workflow without supervision, including the scheduling/ rescheduling of appointments
- Maintain regular communication with client base
- Practical experience in delivering services within natural learning environments e.g. home, educational, and community-based settings
