Boral Asphalt have a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Management Representative to join our team in Brisbane, QLD.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role will see you play a crucial part in supporting the QLD Asphalt team, ensuring the delivery of services aligns with customer requirements, maintains the highest quality, is on time, without harm to people and the environment, and meets specifications and industry requirements.

You will lead and promote Continuous Improvement activities in people and processes while actively administering the business management system for compliance, both internally within Boral and externally.

Initially you will be joining the project team delivering the RAAF Tindal Airport Upgrade, as part of this project there will be a requirement to travel and work away from home in 2-4 week blocks, accommodation, meals and site allowances will be provided. This project will be delivered in stages, when not directly involved in site activities you will be working with the Brisbane project team delivering road maintenance and upgrade projects in SEQ.

**Your day will involve**:

- Accountable for the quality of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of specifications and standards related to road construction and bitumen/asphalt surfaces
- Ensuring compliance of QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important relevant QA/QC documents
- Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes
- Review the quality of all materials and installation standards at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials
- Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes
- Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project

**What are we looking for?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Previous experience in Road Construction (desirable)
- Working knowledge of process development and road construction processes
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Highly detail-oriented with great troubleshooting, organization and time management skills
