Principal's Representative

Eden Ritchie is seeking a **Principal's Representative** to deliver complex capital works projects on behalf of Department and other agencies that deliver positive economic and social outcomes.
- **12 month contract with the possibility of 1 x 12 month extension**:
- **Brisbane CBD location**
**As the Principal's Representative, your key responsibilities will include**:
- Fulfil all aspects of the role of Principal’s Representative for major capital works projects delivered through the Queensland Government’s Two Stage Managing Contractor form of contract.
- Provide oversight and mentoring for the development of the staff performing in the roles of Site Representative or Clerk of Works.
- Act as a point of reference on matters of buildability and on-site construction management within the project delivery team.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager ensure staff engaged on the project monitor quality and contract deliverables are achieved.
- Participate in the review and improvement of the operational effectiveness of the Department’s quality assurance procedures in respect to the administration of construction contracts.
- Develop effective working relationships and liaise and negotiate with a broad range of project stakeholders, internal business units, other government agencies, community groups and the private sector on a range of project matters.
- Prepare complex, well researched and thorough documentation including briefs, reports and submissions on project-related issues that are of strategic importance to the project.
- Represent the Principal at meetings, forums and committees when required.
The successful applicant will have experience in the superintendency services for large building projects and extensive knowledge of building construction methodologies, technologies and materials with a sound knowledge of building services and building certification practices and requirements.
