Put safety above all else
- Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others including your own fitness for work (e.g._ _under the influence of drugs, alcohol and/or fatigue).
- Assess and determine the Corporation’s financial and conditional requirements in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
- Prepare accurate responses to customers and the Development Assessment Commission, and to developers/agents/surveyors, within specified timeframes.
- Check final plans forwarded by surveyors to ensure SA Water’s statutory requirements are met.
- Review own cases periodically to ensure all reports are accurate and data integrity is maintained to process daily mail and maintain data integrity and correspondence.
- Achieve internal KPI’s and ESCOSA service standards.
Provide high level customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work as part of a team to share the workload and ensure customer service coverage throughout business hours.
- Deliver professional, clear and accurate customer service and advice across all functions undertaken in the Development Services Team.
- Builds relationships with internal and external customers, including relationship management with key customers.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities to drive improved customer outcomes and experience
- Strive to exceed minimum service levels for customers by working together to improve processes.
- Work as part of the team to deliver innovative options for customers connecting to SA Water services.
- As part of the development services team, ensure our service to customers are world class.
Knowledge, skills and experience the role requires
Foundation Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Qualifications in Customer Service, Business Administration or Land Development related field, or equivalent experience

Understanding the principles of water and sewerage design and construction

Demonstrated understanding of the Waterworks and Sewerage Act legislation and Corporate policies relating to land developments, mains extensions and connections

Special conditions
- Flexible hours and some after hours as required, some intra and interstate travel.
- To ensure your safety in performing the inherent requirements of the role, you will be required to undergo initial and subsequent medical clearances in addition to some immunisations as relevant to your position.
- Depending on the role you will be required to undergo initial and/or subsequent clearance checks to ensure your ongoing suitability for the role. These may include a criminal police check, traffic check, Working with Children and/or Working with Vulnerable People.
