Public Programs is responsible for developing and delivering interpreted, engaging and curated programs aimed at providing access with the national archival collection in the richest possible ways.

National Archives' Public Programs team are seeking a creative and energetic Lifelong Learning Programs Coordinator, ready to collaborate to achieve highly original public access to Commonwealth records and the extraordinary stories embedded therein.

You will be willing to take creative risks to collaboratively develop immersive programming for all ages, and to work across project teams to ensure efficient and professional program development, administration, delivery, and evaluation.

Working under the direction of the Engagement Programs Manager, you will effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve increased engagement, including with a commitment to accessibility in relation to First Nations engagement, as well as cultural and linguistic diversity.

Under limited direction the main duties of the role are to:

- Collaboratively develop, coordinate, implement and deliver lifelong learning programs for in-house, online and outreach audiences to increase access to the collection and exhibitions of National Archives;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of programs at National Archives is seamless, exceeds audience expectations and meets safety requirements;
- Contribute to cross-sectional project teams that develop National Archives’ services, products, and facilities;
- Coordinate lifelong learning program administration, text development, reporting, evaluation and analysis as required;
- Contribute to program innovation to ensure an effective audience-centred approach, including with commitment to accessibility, First Nations engagement, cultural and linguistic diversity, and gender equity;

The successful applicant must have the ability to obtain and retain a Working with Vulnerable People Registration and be willing to work flexible hours as required including at times after hours and on weekends.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience working in a cultural institution are highly desirable.

**Eligibility**:To be eligible for the role you must be an Australian citizen. If you are selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline clearance level.
