**About the role**
The M365 engineer will be responsible for configuring and implementing the M365 stack to the Department of Veterans' Affairs. The engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the Agency's critical Azure and M365 environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.

**Primary Technologies**
- Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Applications Packager, Rapid 7, Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer.

**Key Tasks/Duties/Requirements - EL1 Microsoft 365 Engineer**
- Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the DVA Azure and M365 environments.
- Perform user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access management in M365.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
- Implement and maintain security best practices for both Azure and M365.
- Provide technical support to users.
- Document configurations and procedures for future reference.

**Selection Criteria**

**Mandatory Criteria**
1. Minimum 3 + years knowledge and experience implementing the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Essential Eight and the applicable Information Security Manual controls to achieve Maturity Level One in a complex ICT Environment, and/or Significant knowledge and experience implementing the Microsoft 365 product suite or similar digital transformation projects in a complex ICT Environment.

2. Minimum 3 + years’ experience and knowledge in delivering Cyber Security and assurance projects, including managing project scope, schedule, budget constraints and providing support to clear issues blocking delivery.

**Weighted Criteria**
1. Experience collaborating with Microsoft support or other vendors for escalations and assistance with critical problems.
2. Strong understanding of security concepts and how to implement them across server and end user environments.
3. Strong scripting and infrastructure automation background is highly desirable.
4. Working knowledge and experience with the entire 365-product suite.
5. Ability to take ownership of a problem and follow it through until completion.
6. Highly developed communication and organisational skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicting priorities with key business stake holders.

**About the role**

The Senior Rapid7 Engineer will provide support to supplement the in-place workforce capacity to perform project and capability uplift activities to meet the required maturity level targets set by the Department. This includes experience in configuring and managing the Rapid7 Nexpose product, experience with InsightVM and Scan Assistant agents, installing scan engines for large (50,000+ device) segregated environments, building custom templates based on business requirements, scheduling scans, and building reports.
