**About the Role**
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Shared Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Officer functions, with a focus on team development and management, process improvement and driving efficiencies.
The duties and responsibilities of the Shared Services Manager will include:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals through setting performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to team members
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and implementation of standardised processes and procedures to improve efficiency
- Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and reduce manual tasks
- Lead projects to implement new tools, systems, or processes that improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations
- Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related inquiries and issues specific to your teams from internal and external stakeholders
- Accountable for the reporting and communication related to overdue debts, providing insights to senior management to inform decision-making
- Liaising with internal IT stakeholders to ensure any system updates or changes are understood and appropriately integrate into downstream finance transactional tasks
- Maintaining open communication with the Group Financial Controller and other key stakeholders

To be successful in this role you must possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, initiative and flexibility to be able to meet our growing business demands at Discovery Parks.
- Proven experience as a Shared Services leader within a business of similar scale and volume
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience in a business with a high volume of transactions
- Completion and maintenance of process documentation and providing coaching and training of tasks to team members
- Strong knowledge of accounting debits and credits and reconciliations
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legal and compliance obligations for Accounts Receivable activities
- High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational, time management and task prioritisation skills
