On the frontline and face-to-face, the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria and its wide network of over 12,000 volunteers provide practical welfare support, advocacy and friendship for the most vulnerable members of our community. Key services include Vinnies Shops; Vinnies Soup Vans; support programs for people experiencing mental illness; home visitation; youth programs; assistance for asylum seekers and refugees; education and tutoring; and a range of other volunteer-run initiatives that assist people in need.

**About the Role**
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Customer Support Officer to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner - Corporate and Membership, the Member Support Officer will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to our volunteer membership group. This role supports the smooth running of our Conferences allowing them to assist the Community.
**As the Customer Support Officer, you will be responsible for;**
- Provide support and assistance to Conference members, with a focus on Treasurers, in line with our Finance policy and procedure framework and our organization's mission.
- Address day-to-day inquiries related to invoice payments, finance system access, and general operations to facilitate the smooth functioning of our Conferences.
- Collaborate with Conference Support Officers to keep them informed of changes within the Finance department.
- Assist in training new members on essential finance systems and processes required to support our community as and if required.
- Ensure all work undertaken within areas of accountability complies with Group values, policies, procedures, codes of conduct and legislative/regulatory requirements and recognised accreditation standards
Crucial to the success of the role will be your client-focused approach to service delivery typified by your ability to quickly establish professional credibility and rapport with a range of stakeholders.
You are enthusiastic, highly organised, detail orientated and driven by a commitment to continuous improvement. You will bring a "hands on" approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on great outcomes for your key stakeholders.
**More specifically you will have**:
- Ability to communicate effectively through both written and spoken channels.
- Capable of building positive relationships and influencing individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical abilities to process information and solve problems efficiently.
- Proven track record in providing excellent customer service and addressing the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Exposure in delivering training, both in face-to-face and online settings.
- Ability and willingness to undertake travel within the state (Metro/Regional) for meetings and training, as required.
