Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Sustainability and Resilience Team are seeking 3 x Coordinators as follows:
- **Coordinator Sustainability**:
- **Coordinator Waste and Circular Economy**:
- **Coordinator Resilience**
**Purpose**:
The Coordinator will lead a small team within the Sustainability and Resilience Team with a dedicated focus on either Sustainability, Waste and Circular Economy or Resilience. This Coordinator is responsible for managing operational and strategic needs of their section including tactical thinking and direction, facilitating collaborative relationships, resourcing responsibilities, motivating and developing team members and personal accountability for achieving team objectives and outputs.
**About the role**:
- **Strategy Development and Implementation**: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainability, waste and circular economy or resilience strategies aligned with organisational objectives, ensuring integration across departments and functions. Provide strategic support to the Manager, Sustainability and Resilience on departmental strategies, policies and plans.
- **Team Leadership and Management**: Provide leadership to the team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing work environment. Set clear expectations, provide coaching and guidance, and support professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- **Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership**: Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with senior leadership, employees, NGOs, government agencies, industry groups, and community organisations to foster a culture of support for sustainability and resilience efforts and leverage resources, expertise, and networks for collective action on sustainability and resilience issues.
**About you**:
- Experience in sustainability, waste and circular economy or resilience leadership roles, with demonstrated success in developing and implementing relevant strategies and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of environmental, social, and economic sustainability and resilience issues, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and stakeholders towards shared goals.
