**About the Opportunity**:
Barminco is currently seeking an experienced Transport Officer to join our Head Office in Hazelmere for an immediate start. This is a permanent, full-time position working 7am to 4pm. Reporting to the Transport Superintendent you will support the team with loading and unloading of general freight in accordance with company policies & procedures and adhering to all EHS&T guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Unload and load freight onto vehicles as required, including safe operation of Forklift
Manually load transport containers with freight using safe manual handling techniques
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation
Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.

**Skills, experience & Attributes**:
Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry
Essential - hold a valid forklift ticket
Working knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility
Demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviors
A positive attitude toward work and is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills
