**The role**:
We're looking for an experienced and motivated MCH Nurse with strong leadership skills to extend our current MCH Leadership Team.- As an MCH Team Leader you will support the MCH service, focussing on key programs such as Enhanced MCH, Sleep & Settling, Lactation Support, Outreach and Supported Playgroup. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high quality Maternal & Child Health services and community support to families living within Whitehorse City Council.**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the MCH Coordinator to plan and implement operational aspects of the Maternal and Child Health Service, ensuring adherence to professional standards and funding agreements.
- Provide leadership and support to the MCH team, including supervision, training, mentoring, operational management, performance management and professional development reviews.
- Oversee the operational management of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health team, ensuring compliance with program standards and legislation.
- Manage specialist programs such as Sleep & Settling, Lactation Support, Outreach and Supported Playgroup, including staff support and program implementation.
- Participate in strategic planning for future directions of MCH services & Supported Playgroup, contributing to specified projects.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality systems and standards within the Maternal & Child Health Service Unit.
