The City of Monash Maternal Child Health service is situated within the Children Youth and Family Services department.

This department has as a strong focus on supporting infants, children and families, being innovative in service delivery to meet the needs of these community members.


The Maternal Child Health program is committed to providing service excellence that is evidence based, family centered and strength based.

We have strong alliances with other community services and encourage referrals into local support services. We operate within a team approach to provide an efficient, accountable and respectful Maternal Child Health Service.

About the Position


As a member of the Monash Maternal Child Health Coordination team, in consultation with the Coordinator MCH and Immunisation you will provide leadership, support and clinical guidance to a team of Maternal and Child Health Nurses (MCH) in the City of Monash.

Overseeing all aspects of MCH operations with a strong focus on leadership, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and enhancing outcomes for the community.

You will provide support to the Universal MCH team, promoting positive culture and encouraging innovation and continuous improvement across the service.

Skills and Experience

Current nurse and midwife registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Post graduate Qualifications in Family, Child and Community Health or equivalent (as defined by AHPRA)

Minimum 5 years' experience working within Maternal Child Health services

Experience working as a leader within Health Services/Local council
Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability engage with diverse communities.
Current Victorian Drivers License

Working with Children Check

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (Div 1) and Registered Midwife with AHPRA with additional post graduate qualifications in Maternal and Child Health Nursing

Demonstrated experience in leadership setting in MCH, Nursing or midwifery

Experience working with young children, mothers and families

Current Victorian driver's license and use of own car
