MTM has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Advisor who’ll support the team and provide advice around safety activities across the organisation. This may include reviewing Safety Interface Agreements (SIA),conducting internal audits, interfacing with key partners and timely reporting.

This unique role will provide you exposure to multi-disciplinary teams and projects across all areas of the business. You’ll have opportunities to be involved in new safety initiatives and implementing organisational-wide change that’ll support our ongoing focus around a safe work environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the implementation and management of SIA
- Maintain and review existing SIA including all safety and road-rail interface data and documentation. (Both on-line and paper-based forms)
- Initiate the creation of SIAs through interfacing with key external stakeholders as required (Municipal Councils, Regulator, VicTrack, Vic Roads etc)
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and / or external stakeholders to develop SIAs that meet requirements of all parties.
- Conduct system audits of internal departments and external organisations for compliance with published procedures, accredited standards, and regulatory requirements as appropriate.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

About You
- Tertiary qualified in OHS (Occupational Health and Safety), Quality Systems or Business Systems Administration is preferred (not mandatory).
- Minimum Diploma or Certificate in OHS is required.
- 5 years' experience working in railway operations or a similar role preferred.
- Holds an ISO Internal Audit qualification.
- Experienced in conducting ICAM investigations.
