Reporting into the Head of Risk, Safety & Wellbeing, the **National Risk & Safety Manager** will play a critical role in designing, developing and implementing strategies for the management of risk and injury prevention across the company.
- Senior leadership role within the Risk & Safety function
- Flexible hybrid working model, work between our central Docklands office and the comfort of your own home
- Improve the safety of all who work and shop at Myer

**About the role**:

- Maintenance and review of the Safety Management System to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of system is continually reviewed and changes implemented
- Development and review of the Safety Audit program, reporting on compliance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Manage the identification and management of risk through implementation of a risk assessment program and provision of technical support and mentoring of the Risk & Safety team and national functions regarding hazard identification, risk assessment and control processes.
- Oversee the investigation of Serious Incidents providing guidance to Risk & Safety team to ensure corrective actions are logged and monitored.
- Lead the team of Risk & Safety Advisors to provide credible risk and safety advice and effectively partner with the business to identify, assess, manage and resolve risk and safety issues
- Identify opportunities to promote and progress the safety of the business through management of safety projects to support the Risk & Safety strategy

**About you**:

- Post graduate qualifications in an Occupational Health & Safety related field
- Experience working in a senior safety role in a large multi-jurisdictional organisation, preferable in a self-insured environment
- A confident safety leader with great interpersonal skills who can work across the business as well as across projects to guide, influence and develop collaborative relationships inside and outside of the organisation
- Able to provide strategic input in the area of safety regulatory framework, risk management and self
- insurance
- Has a strategic focus and explains issues in relation to the broader Myer environment
- A natural leader who coaches, guides and develops their team
