- A truly global team: This position reports to our Managing Director, Wealth and also has a close working relationship with our Chief Content Strategist in our Chicago office. On a daily basis you’ll work with analysts, researchers and investment specialists in our Sydney office.

You are motivated by a passion for helping solve investor problems and establishing a clear and independent ‘voice of reason’ in the crowded space of advice on financial matters. You will be charged with planning, commissioning and editing articles, features, videos, and podcasts on a strategic set of themes and topics that impact investors today.

**What you’ll do**:You will lead a small team of writers and freelancers who cover topics spanning financial markets (including exchange-traded funds and listed securities), personal finance, and sustainable investing. These writers curate, promote, and surface content every day.

Additionally you will:

- Lead the Sydney editorial team in ideating, assigning, planning, producing, and editing content from throughout the Morningstar ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with Morningstar research and investment teams to surface insights and highlight the firm’s point of view on timely and timeless topics.
- Monitor important developments in investing, markets, personal finance and broader topics that impact investors with a view to imparting Morningstar’s advocacy and empowering investor success.
- Develop expertise in various asset classes, and the overall industry and investing sphere.
- Track performance of content and provide feedback to authors and stakeholders to help boost engagement and traffic.

**We’re interested in hearing from people who have**
- Experience as an editor or writer covering investing and personal finance.
- Proven skill in writing and editing content for individual audiences.
- Proven ability to identify topics that are relevant to an audience and execute content that engages and satisfies them. Additionally setting an audience engagement strategy that aligns to a broader product/ business strategy.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
