Plant Health Australia (PHA) is the trusted coordinator of the Australian plant biosecurity system. We bring expertise, knowledge and stakeholders together to generate solutions that improve biosecurity outcomes to ensure that the system is future-oriented and solutions-focused.

The company maintains a training program area that supports its members and other stakeholders across a range of plant biosecurity needs, with a focus on developing knowledgeable, skilled and responsive individuals across industry and government in the event of a plant biosecurity incident.

**Your New Role**

We are looking for a talented learning and development professional, with strong stakeholder relationship skills, who wants to make a difference to Australia’s plant biosecurity capability.

With general direction from the Manager, Learning and Development, the role has responsibility for designing and delivering high quality plant biosecurity and emergency management training projects that enhance PHA Members’ and related stakeholders’ biosecurity capability and capacity.

Using adult learning principles, the role supports the development and implementation of a variety of training activities, including general biosecurity training, and emergency response simulation exercises.

If you have:

- a background in adult learning and/or instructional design;
- demonstrated experience developing and delivering quality training materials to meet the needs of diverse audiences;
- excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder relationship and project management skills; and
- a background, qualifications and/or an interest in science, agriculture, emergency management, biosecurity and/or plant health;

There is occasional interstate travel required for this position.
