**About the role**

The Standards Development (SD) Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Committee and Projects functions of SD, accountable for delivering national and international standards development projects for Standards Australia. It is essential that the SD Manager:

- Implements operational improvement initiatives to deliver corporate priorities and outcomes aligned with Standards Australia's Strategic Plan
- Drives excellence and manages performance within the project management team
- Has a deep understanding and insights of the SD process and functions to ensure:

- Business and stakeholder risk mitigation
- Effective resolution of issues, escalations, and complaints
- Is results and goal oriented with the ability to demonstrate excellent judgment, solution orientation and appropriate level of risk taking
- Provides thought leadership and strategic insights to the Head of Standards Development, the Production Management Group and Standards Australia leadership

**What you'll do**
- Monitor all SD activities across the project management team to maintain consistency and quality
- Drive uptake of technology tools and new ways of working to improve efficiencies and productivity
- Develop SD business plans in line with the Standards Australia Strategic Plan
- Contribute to business improvement and transformation, broader business planning, budget and proposal development, and other services agreements as required
- Oversee the governance of the SD process using the Standards Australia Governance processes
- Oversee relevant SD policy and procedure improvements
- Effectively oversee and manage escalated project management delivery issues
- Setting of objectives, metrics, and management performance of Program Managers and their teams
- Monitor Program Managers and the work of their teams to maintain consistency and quality of all activities
- Lead, coach, develop, and motivate individuals to deliver on organisational and individual performance measures
- Facilitate and document regular performance discussions

**About you**
- Degree and/or relevant applied industry experience
- Extensive experience supporting multiple cross-functional teams through the development lifecycle to deliver ongoing value at scale
- Demonstrated ability to manage an extensive portfolio of work resource allocation
- Passion for recruitment and a focus on bringing the right talent into the organisation, maintaining diversity, and keeping the team engaged
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and organise multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
- A continuous improvement, growth, and experimentation mindset
- Being a leadership multiplier/enabler
