Our client, a leading player in the heavy industry sector, is currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Manager - Work, Health & Safety to join their business and dedicated safety team. This pivotal role will allow you to make a significant impact on their organisation’s safety culture, ensuring the highest standards are maintained across all operations.

As the Manager - Work, Health & Safety, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to safeguard their clients’ employees and assets. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a safe and healthy work environment, reducing incidents, and promoting a culture of proactive safety management.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Craft and execute strategic plans for WHS in line with industry best practices
- Provide practical guidance and coaching to managers and employees in the process of proactive risk management
- Lead and develop a team of WHS professionals to implement WHS strategy and compliance measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Foster a safety-conscious culture through effective communication, training, and awareness programs.
- Analyze safety data and performance metrics to identify trends, make recommendations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with external audit requirements to maintain ISO accreditation

**What You'll Bring**
- A strong background in the heavy industry, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic safety plans, ideally within a complex and high-risk environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage teams at all levels, fostering a positive safety culture.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders and regulators.

You will be a strong people leader with experience in safety, risk and compliance and will have experience managing a team of safety professionals.
