What is the role?

Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Project Administrator in the AFP Leadership Centre.

The Leadership Centre is responsible for providing advice on leadership development available to the workforce, managing a number of leadership initiatives and services, and provides strategic input with relevant stakeholders on leadership development across all career streams. Since the establishment of the AFP Leadership Centre (LC) in 2018, we have been focussed on developing individuals, teams and organisational leadership across the AFP.

The role works closely with the Team Leader and other Project Officers within the team in ensuring the planning, delivery and coordination of all deliverables are achieved within agreed timeframes and budget. The role requires liaising with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining effective working relationships. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and fosters a cohesive and cooperative environment to ensure priory tasks are met across the team.

You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?

The Band 4 will work as part of a small team reporting to the Team Leader. The team will be integral in the organisation and delivery of various Leadership Programs. The work may include:
Triaging the team inbox,
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing leadership initiatives;
Coordinating AFP participation in external leadership programs with partner agencies;
Contributing to or implementing new leadership initiatives as required by the Learning Command;
Supporting the Team Leader with daily activities including assisting with a range of corporate services tasks, including procurement;
Management of key stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
Managing initiatives such as the core leadership continuum modules, course selection & withdrawals;
Essential Requirements

A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
Desirable Requirements

The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
