According to the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child, a key component for thriving children is agency and a voice. The Voice of the Child (VoC) is a CCCH priority project. The project will explore how the VoC can be regularly and rigorously incorporated in our work including clinical practice, research priorities or research design and advocacy.
**This position**: Voice of the Child Project Lead will lead the VoC project stages 1&2 of 4 stages.
- Stage 1 & 2: Campus and CCCH Scoping exercise and literature Review
- Stage 3&$ VoC toolbox and principles creation and testing
The VoC project will investigate what are the best practices for achieving child voice and the impact it has on child outcomes. Expected outcomes include:
- Improved outcomes for children and their families by embedding the voice of the child in everything we do
- Increased knowledge about ‘best practices’ for embedding the VoC
- The establishment of a set of principles and VoC Toolbox for use across CCCH and campus
**Your responsibilities include**:
Leading and project managing stages 1 & 2 of the VoC project to deliver in a timely manner
Chair and establish the VoC advisory group
Overseeing a scoping exercise to better understand the current work utilising the voice of the child within CCCH and across the campus
Overseeing a literature review on best practice for embedding the voice of the child in CCCH work
Supervising a small team of RA and intern/s to complete the projects activities
**About you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in relevant field
6+ years of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation
Demonstrated experience in project management including the planning, monitoring and evaluation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating to a wide range of stakeholders
