Facilities Manager

We are looking for a Facilities Manager who will oversee the overall smooth running of ILM’s Studio and facilities and will be involved in proactively managing studio expansion projects, optimizing the use of the studio space, day to day building and facilities maintenance issues as they arise, including managing facilities contractors and suppliers, and managing stock of supplies. The Facilities Manager will ensure the building functions as efficiently and effectively as possible.
**We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with exceptional organization skills who is a Team player and strives to maximize the team/department performance.**
On any given day you will work closely with Studio Leadership, Technology Team, Facilities Team, Talent Teams, HR Team and the Finance Team.
- Manages day to day of Studio Facilities
- Manages day to day tasks of Facilities team as well as assisting and covering the teams duties when required
- Manages day to day budget spend with budget approval from Operations Manager
- Strategically looks at and drives departmental change along with Operations Manager
- Implements new processes
- Works with the Operational Manager on the buildings aesthetics
- First escalation point for anything facilities internally as well as Disney Studio Australia (DSA) teams, contractors and vendors
- Manages day to day security of the buildings with DSA in accordance with MPAA
- Manages Suppliers including sourcing of new suppliers as required.
- Manages liaising with all internal departments IT/HR/TM/Production - be across ramps, new starters/leavers, shows ramping up and down, Jedi Academy and other training etc to ensure studio facilities always meet the needs of the shows and departments
- Manages the requirements for emergency and OH&S, ensuring all is up to date with local requirements and implemented correctly in the studio.
- Manages reports on SIQ and other operational efficiency of the studio to ensure the tools are meeting the requirements of the studio
- Works with Production/HR/Finance on sourcing branded goods and crew gear with local vendor
- Assists with management of Studio crew store and crew gifts to the studio
- Assists Operations Manager with studio expansion projects, i.e movement of internal departments
- Mentors Sr Facilities Coord
Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- Management of a small team
- Experience building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external vendors and contractors
- Experience in building and creating culture
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic self-starter with exceptional organization skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and continually re-prioritise tasks
- Detailed and methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Team player who will strive to maximize team/department performance
