Jetstar has a Digital footprint in 15 countries, translated into eight different languages, this includes websites and apps that our customers around the world use every day to book and self-service. As the **Digital Product Owner**, you will play an important role in ensuring an exceptional digital customer experience that is reliable and secure.
This Digital Product Owner role will own the Digital BAU Backlog which contains critical operational changes, production defects, security vulnerabilities, compliance and tech debt improvements. This role will be the key contact for stakeholders across the Jetstar business and will be responsible for tracking BAU demand and managing stakeholder expectations on delivery dates. This role understands and prioritises BAU demand, coordinating delivery by briefing the requirements into the Digital BAU squad or where it makes sense relevant feature squads.
**The core responsibilities of this role will be**:
Prioritisation
- Own the Digital BAU backlog, prioritise items based on current business priorities, this includes small business changes, production defects, security vulnerabilities, etc.
- Conduct initial analysis of BAU backlog items to understand what is needed and communicate this to teams
- Work closely with the Digital support team to triage, investigate, and prioritise production defects and incidents
Product Owner of the Digital BAU Squad
- Provide product leadership to the Digital BAU Squad (a Scrum team which includes a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Developers and Quality Analyst)
- Be an active member of the BAU squad, providing required information in a timely manner to support the team, to improve delivery
- Regularly communicate priorities to the BAU squad and participate in backlog refinement
Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Develop strong relationships and be a key Digital contact for stakeholders across Jetstar
- Manage stakeholder expectations around delivery dates, including where delivery dates are later than desired by stakeholders
Delivery Coordination
- Once prioritised, direct backlog items to Digital BAU squad for completion - track and report on progress, and take corrective action where required
- Coordinate resolution of production defects, incidents, problem tickets with the Digital squads and Digital Technology teams
Compliance
- Ensure compliance requirements (PCI, PII, Legal, etc.) are considered and met
Establish and support a reliable, stable and secure Digital Operations
- Develop and continually improve a lean BAU process and educate stakeholders on this process
- Create transparency on the status and priority of backlog items through regular reporting
- Be the key escalation point for the Commercial Airline Technology team in coordinating incidents and major problem tickets regarding digital channels
**To be considered, key skills will include**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Technology, Business, Marketing or relevant field
- 5+ years’ of experience as a Product Owner, with 3+ years’ of experience in the Digital space (will be highly regarded)
- Practical experience in Agile (Scrum, Scrumban, etc.)
- Previous experience in project delivery and/or production support
- Technical experience using Jira to record, track and report on backlog items
- Strong stakeholder management skills to work with diverse teams in different locations (this role will be working with team members in Melbourne, Singapore and Thailand)
- Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholder and team members
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively
- Strong creative problem solving and logical reasoning abilities
