The need for credibly sourced, genuinely representative and externally comparable survey data and community insight about people and places has never been greater. Residents, stakeholder groups and all levels of government are aligned that the community's views need to be more comprehensively incorporated, monitored and ultimately evaluated in local area decision making. In 2021, we created a new service, _Community Views_, to help meet this demand.

The service provides organisations (e.g. Councils, other levels of government, place-based infrastructure projects) with a deep and representative understanding of their community's views to inform, monitor and evaluate a diverse range of planning and advocacy initiatives.

**We need someone to join the team**:
We need someone to drive the expansion of our _Community Views_ service across our network of prospective local government clients.

**About the role**:
This role sits within.id’s _Community Views_ team.
- Community Views_ uses a survey-based approach to represent resident perspectives in government decision making. Our standard questions cover a diverse range of topics, are nationally benchmarked annually, and align with organisational strategy. Topics include community values, experiences, health, wellbeing and financial circumstances, climate change, local area concerns and ideas to improve quality of life. Clients are also welcome to ask custom questions. The survey data we collect is analysed and published on our leading online platform, views.id, which is supported by insights reporting, workshops, videos and on-demand assistance.

Despite only officially launching Community Views in 2021, we have already successfully delivered and supported the service to a diverse and ever-expanding range of councils and other organisations. We are doubling the number of new clients each year, and are on track to deliver and support the program across all Australian states by end of 2024.

The primary function of this role is to sell our Community Views service to the local government sector.

Functions of this role include:

- Achieving a deep understanding of the _Community Views_ service for local government, ranging from service features, client benefits, and use cases.
- Achieving a deep understanding of prospective clients’ purchasing triggers and patterns as it relates to the _Community Views_ service.
- Co-developing go-to-market sales strategies in consultation with the Community Views Product Owner and Marketing representatives.
- Designing and executing strategies that leverage existing Community Views customer success in service of new customer acquisition.
- Working with.id client relationship and sales staff to design and execute strategies that leverage existing local government relationships in service of new customer acquisition for Community Views.
- Converting marketing leads into sales qualified opportunities.
- Identifying new avenues and approaches to increase the volume and quality of marketing and sales qualified leads.
- Developing and delivering Community Views introduction presentations, proposal writing and conducting sales negotiations that bring deals to a close. While these steps will be conducted in collaboration with the Community Views Product Owner initially, it is expected you will be able to work autonomously within three months.
- Ensure prospective client sales activity is captured in our CRM (currently HubSpot).
- While vast majority of this role focuses on sales into the local government market, it is expected you will contribute to the broader suite of _Community Views_ activities, including product development, client service
- Collaborating with sales and client management colleagues across.id’s teams, sharing opportunities and identifying better ways of working in service of build organisational sales capability.
