**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Finance Business Partnering team is accountable for providing end-to-end finance services to Faculties and Divisions, including financial planning, forecasting and reporting, financial analysis and decision support, general accounting and transactional services across all funding sources.

The role of Deputy Hub Leader - Divisions delivers financial processes and accounting activities to support the day-to-day operations of the Divisions. The role is required to assist with Finance projects and initiatives that have a process improvement focus.

The role of the Deputy Hub Leader - Divisions reports to the Hub Leader and has no direct reports, however, will deputise and act as a 2IC to the Hub Leader.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Hub Leader, to ensure key operational functions and finance transactions are filtered through and performed accurately with a high standard for stakeholders.
- Deliver and play a key role with the reporting, monitoring, and measurement of service delivery within the team to ensure timely and effective customer service, and escalating service issues and risks to the Hub Leader.
- Run weekly reports across transactional activity within the team and work with the team to Interpret data, analyse results and provide ad hoc and on-going reports to Hub Leader.
- Assist Hub Leader with team training and development needs as required.
- Support the Hub Leader to facilitate and drive continuous improvements through analysis and consultation with stakeholders to identify opportunities to develop more efficient ways to deliver key outcomes and achieve objectives for the broader effectiveness of UNSW Finance.
- Support projects and initiatives as required across UNSW Finance, ensuring effective stakeholder contribution throughout, with a process improvement focus.

**Who You Are**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area and/or extensive experience working in Finance Services within a large and diverse business, including experience in high volume operational Finance Services processing. ACA or CPA Qualification is desirable.
- Experience in multi-faceted financial operations with the ability to provide actionable operational advice in coordinating and delivering financial services in a complex organisation.
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to use initiative, think strategically and prioritise effectively coupled with a good understanding of end-to-end processes and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Proven experience in advanced excel reporting and analysis of data.
- Demonstrated problem solving, planning and organisational ability to deliver results and enhance the value provided to Faculty and Division finance operation in delivering their operational and strategic plans.
- Leadership experience with demonstrated capability to identify and establish priorities and mentor, develop, and motivate the team to deliver value to stakeholders and customers.
