**About the role**:
You will be responsible for providing data analysis and intelligence to support regulatory operations and decision making. You will develop and execute the intelligence strategy for EPA and deliver tactical and strategic intelligence services and support, aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste. Working closely with the CDIO, you will lead and manage a team through change, ensuring a positive organisational culture and that the highest standards of performance and integrity are achieved; and fostering genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to deliver organisational outcomes.

**In this role you will**:

- Partner with stakeholders across both within EPA and outside with other agencies and distil high level intelligence requirements into deliverable work package and enable prioritization within the team to deliver key outcomes for EPA. Work across the business to provide both strategic, tactical and operational intelligence that meets enterprise and operational needs.
- Manage and build a best in class intelligence team and an intelligence platform for the future in cloud environment.
- Communicate complex data findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner and collaborate with other departments to ensure that insights are effectively integrated into business processes.
- Develop and implement intelligence strategies and objectives in alignment with the organisation's overall objectives and goals whilst by providing fit-for-purpose intelligence products, managing associated legislative and compliance obligations.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and organization of data from various sources and implement data quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.

**Skills and experience**:

- Demonstrated ability to work with Senior stakeholders and present technical information to a range of stakeholders.
- Senior Leadership experience in intelligence, preferably in a law enforcement or regulatory setting.
- Experience implementing intelligence solution in complex environment is preferable.
- Previous experience in big data and cloud solution (Azure/Databricks) along with exposure to Data Management principles would be advantageous.
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications is desirable.
