Property & Open Space Project Officer

Managing a diverse and varied range of minor capital works and building refurbishments. The successful applicant must have a real passion for project and building delivery and be a customer focused person with a strong understanding of property and facilities management.

Exposure to state or local government would be great but isn’t essential.

**The role**

This is a 6 month opportunity as a temporary contractor, working full time hours (casual weekly pay) to start 1st July 2023. There is some flexibility with hybrid working which is great for your work life balance.

A great opportunity to use and build your existing property and project management knowledge in a professional local government environment.

Skills and Experience
- Managing a small portfolio of diverse open space assets and projects
- Prepare work task specifications for capital projects in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate tenders and quotations and make recommendations
- Liaise and supervise contractors as required to ensure the delivery outcomes are met and in accordance with the relevant plans, standards and regulations.
- Working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders including tenants, community groups, architects, consultants and internal departments
- keeping records and databases up to date with property related data
- preparing written reports, advice and recommendations
- Construction project management experience, skills, techniques and processes and with development approvals
- Facilities management or property industry experience
- Proven experience in contract administration and document control
- Experience in Technology One an advantage
- Use of corporate technology including systems in electronic document management, land and property management, finance, customer requests, asset management systems and intranet.

Applicants must have full working rights and have a current car licence for site visits.
