Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking a commercial marketing and communications professional to join the Retail team in this exciting and impactful new role.

Museums Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**:
Museums Victoria is looking for an experienced professional with passion, drive and expertise to generate effective marketing and communications activities for the Museums Victoria Store.
With a focus on targeted and cost-effective initiatives, you will help drive revenue across the online and onsite stores and build audiences across multiple locations.
The successful applicant will lead communications across a variety of channels including web, digital and social media, develop and implement paid media plans, oversee content creation, drive retail PR initiatives and more.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
Seeking an organised, deadline-driven applicant with proven ability working in a fast-moving environment. The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in implementing commercially focused marketing and communications campaigns that support revenue growth across digital channels.
- Knowledge of the retail, culture, visitor attraction and/or entertainment industries
- Superior written and visual communication skills
- Proven ability to generate unique and cost-effective PR activities and activations
- Strong stakeholder relations skills
- Experience in managing events and dealing with suppliers and agencies
- Ability to write and coordinate design briefs and creative outputs in an environment with competing deadlines
- Delivery of campaigns on budget and an understanding of the fundamentals of ROI on decision making.
**OTHER INFORMATION**:
This is a full-time, ongoing position. The salary on offer is $74,580 (pro rata) + 11% superannuation.
